Committee clears mixed-use rezoning on a sample corridor site
The application moves to full council on 19 August. Staff recommended approval with three conditions covering parking supply, tree retention and a road widening dedication.
Planning Committee voted 11 to 4 on Tuesday to approve a zoning amendment for a mixed-use development, sending the application to full council later this month. One member was absent.
Staff had recommended approval subject to three conditions: a minimum parking supply of 0.8 spaces per unit, retention of the mature tree canopy along the north property line, and a 3.0 metre road widening dedication.
Council considers the item on 19 August. Until then the amendment has no legal effect.
